BirthdaySongs.ai creates personalized AI-generated birthday songs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We collect only what we need to create and deliver your song.

Information you provide directly:

• Contact information — Your email address and name (as the sender).
• Recipient details — The birthday person's name, age, and relationship to you.
• Questionnaire responses — Hobbies, personality traits, things you admire, a favourite memory, birthday message, inside jokes, and music preferences. Used solely to generate personalised lyrics.
• Photos — If you choose to upload a photo for the gift page.
• Personal messages — Any written message you add to the gift page.

Information collected automatically:

• Analytics — We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, browser type, country). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

We use the information you provide to:

• Generate personalised song lyrics using AI
• Create and deliver your birthday song audio
• Display your gift page with your message, photo, and song
• Process your payment
• Send order confirmations and delivery notifications
• Improve our service (using anonymised, aggregated data only)

We use trusted third-party services to operate BirthdaySongs.ai, including for AI processing, audio generation, payment processing, email delivery, file storage, and hosting. Each service receives only the minimum data required for its function and is bound by its own privacy policy. We never share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

BirthdaySongs.ai does not require user accounts. Your data is tied to individual orders identified by unique order IDs. You access your order through the link provided at checkout and via email.

All payments are processed by a trusted, PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store, access, or transmit your credit card number, CVV, or other payment card details. We receive only a confirmation that payment was successful.

• Orders and songs — Stored indefinitely so your gift page link continues to work and the recipient can always access their song.
• Photos — Stored for as long as the order exists.
• Email addresses — Retained for order communication and birthday reminders (if opted in). You can request removal at any time.

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@birthdaysongs.ai with your order ID or email address. We will delete your order data, uploaded photos, generated audio, and any associated personal information within 30 days. Note that deleting order data will permanently deactivate the gift page link.

BirthdaySongs.ai uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

BirthdaySongs.ai is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, secure cloud storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
